The GS Finance Team is an integral part of the worldwide Finance organization, providing insights supported by meaningful and accurate financial information to help guide and influence the decision making process. The team partners with the leadership of our Global Functions/Practice Areas senior management, local, regional and global finance colleagues across the organization.
The role is part of the GS Finance team based in New Delhi supporting the Global Practice Areas. We are looking for a trusted and experienced finance professional to manage below responsibilities:
Roles & Responsibilities
Business level Reporting & Analysis
- Managing capacity planning including the excel and Alteryx-based PA capacity model, performing compensation and FTE analysis, reconciling various schedules to source data, and supporting capacity planning process
- Business level management reporting, including but not limited to monthly management reports, top clients, penetration, KPI's and revenue analysis
- Provide operational and transactional support to PA Finance team during the year end process
- Utilize Alteryx and Tableau to create best-in-class, automated reporting
- Enhance both reporting content and processes to ensure that reporting meets business needs, and is produced efficiently
Decision Support
- Managing the PA Decision Mailbox and handling routine queries independently and proficiently
- Provide decision support by leveraging data, experience and business trends
- Understand the nuances of business models and provide ad hoc analytical support to stakeholders as needed
- Create value-added analysis to highlight key issues
Planning Cycle Support
- Supporting the strategic and financial planning process in collaboration with practice area leadership, preparing and aggregating financial plans
- Work with Finance System Groups and ensure high level of accuracy and eye for detail during the stringent deadlines
Your Skills and experience
Your Experience and qualifications
- A minimum of 6-7 years related finance experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting/economics and/or an MBA preferred, CA
- Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
- A passion for working in a collaborative team environment
- Critical Thinking and problem solving – proven ability to work through complex problems and analyses in providing a thoughtful concrete solution
- Motivation and self-drive – excited by tackling challenges and pro-actively finding new ways to provide value
- Advanced Excel skills and/or experience with other analytical tools (Such as Tableau, Alteryx, etc.)
YOU’RE GOOD AT
- Strong accuracy and rigorous attention to detail
- Demonstrate both strong analytic and big picture capabilities in problem solving approaches
- Ability to frame issues at conceptual level and resolve complex issues/problems
- Work to tight schedules but flex accordingly as business requirements change your priorities. Be able to manage conflicting priorities, prioritize transparently, and communicate openly to ensure constructive and positive outcomes
- Strong technical capabilities including Digital reporting tools like Alteryx & Tableau
- Demonstrates strong communication skills: oral, written and active listening
- Build strong networks within and across finance
