Roles & Responsibilities

1. Surveillance & Investigation 

To investigate post the market surveillance activities, to identify and investigate abnormal trading practices and initiate suitable action

1. Daily / Weekly/ Monthly surveillance and investigation related activities / internal reports.
2. Client member profiling, Bank Statement Analysis
3. Monitoring trading patterns of contract for abnormal price behaviour
4. Limited Review / Inspection of Members relevant to the investigation of trading activity of specific members.
5. Study of Surveillances Practices adopted at other National level and International Exchanges, Getting in-depth Knowledge of Commodities
6. PMLA activities and reporting

2. Compliance
Job Purpose: Clients gives funds and collaterals to Trading Members (TM) for trading on the Exchange Platform. To monitor TM default and potential misuse of clients funds and collaterals, SEBI/Exchanges have enhanced the supervision of TM activities for early detection of potential fraud.
Key Accountabilities:
- To monitor Member Compliance with SEBI / Exchange guidelines.
- Monitoring on real time basis the members periodical submissions.
- To generate and review alerts / early warning signals for instances of non-compliance / potential default.
- To assign alerts to inspection team for its actionable and monitoring closure of all the alerts assigned.
- To do data analysis with the available data for designing alerts and developing tools for generating alerts.
- To prepare report on the alerts generated to enable the relevant authority to take decision on disciplinary actions (like advise, penalty, disablement, etc.) against the TMs
- To co-ordinate with other exchanges on the alerts, where the TM is also a member, to enable other exchanges for standard action on TM across exchanges.

3. Market Operations
Review implementation of SEBI circulars and verify departmental compliance through process and control audit. Handling MIS to Senior Management. Getting exposure towards managing configuration and master parameters of exchange trading systems and trading operations.

Key Accountabilities
1. Daily compilation of circulars pertaining to Capital Market
2. Review implementation of SEBI circulars and verify departmental compliance through process audit and internal audit
3. Classification of regulatory circulars / letters into action points with a specific timelines for implementation
4. Continuous review and maintenance of Compliance Checklist
5. Build / Review processes with respective departments for complete implementation of regulatory guidelines Data compilation and MIS reports
6. Monitoring Trading operations and actions on member terminal

Non routine Tasks

7. Creating presentation on various regulatory norms and learning material
8. Suggesting control improvisation in departmental process manual
9. Improvising departmental automation for control improvisation

Your Skills and experience

Your Experience and qualifications

CA students eligible for Industrial Training

Preferred:

- Candidates havign exposure to Capital markets, banking and financial services during articleship

- Basic knowledge of Derivatives

- Excel skills
