In this role you’ll be part of our Business Finance team where you’ll perform month end close (including journal entries), inter-co breaks clearing, suspense clearing, reconciliation and attestation of balances including resolution of any issues. You’ll also perform complex accounting like investment accounting, carried interest accounting, consolidation and deconsolidation. You’ll also be responsible to ensure that the business adheres to all financial, regulatory and tax reporting requirements and manage the production of the monthly balance statement and profit and loss analysis. You’ll also periodically prepare the income statement, balance sheet and other financial statement notes including variance analysis and commentaries for the Group’s entities.
Part of your role will also see you work on projects such as implementation of new accounting standards, group restructures and acquisitions. You’ll also be responsible for coordinating with internal business teams and liaising with external auditors to ensure efficient and effective management of audit deliverables, as well as the integrity and completeness of financial records and compliance with finance control standards.

Your Experience and qualifications
We’re looking for someone who is inquisitive and innovative, and who will be able to demonstrate a continuous focus on improving processes to deliver efficiencies with appropriate risk management practices and controls.
To be successful in this role, you should have a postgraduate accounting qualification (CA or CPA) and 4-6 years of relevant post qualification experience in financial accounting and statutory reporting.
A deep understanding of accounting standards and fundamental accounting concepts along with experience in financial services and service industry environment is also expected along with experience in consolidation, reporting, financial statement preparation.
IFRS exposure will be considered favourable
